Outage Monitor: Power Station
Connecting
The app can't find my station.
Turn the station on and stay within a few feet of it while adding it. Make sure Bluetooth is on and allowed for Outage Monitor in Settings → Privacy & Security → Bluetooth. Older Explorers without Bluetooth can't connect; see compatibility.
It says "connected to another app".
A station accepts one Bluetooth connection at a time. Close the Jackery app (swipe it away) and tap Retry. To use the Jackery app again, for example for a firmware update, open the station in Outage Monitor's Settings and tap Release station.
It says "This firmware isn't supported yet".
Your model uses a newer protocol we can't read yet. The app shows nothing rather than wrong numbers. Email us the model name.
Do I need an account or internet?
No. Everything happens over Bluetooth between your iPhone and the station.
Readings
How is runtime calculated?
From the battery level, the station's capacity and the power going out right now. It's an estimate marked "est.", and it changes as your load changes. If the capacity looks wrong, set it in Settings → your station → Capacity, using the label on the unit.
How does the app know the grid is down?
It watches the power the station draws from the wall. When that stops for more than a few seconds, the grid is marked off; when it starts again, it's marked on. A fully charged station with nothing plugged in can draw almost nothing from a live outlet, so in that case the app waits for a load before it calls an outage.
Why are the switches greyed out?
For models we haven't confirmed yet, the app is read-only. See compatibility.
Alerts and the lock screen
Do alerts work with my phone locked?
Outage Monitor keeps its Bluetooth connection to the station running in the background so it can alert you. Keep your phone within Bluetooth range of the station (roughly 30 feet), allow notifications, and turn on Time Sensitive notifications so alerts come through Focus modes. Use Send a test alert in the Alerts tab to check.
How do I put the runtime on my lock screen?
It appears by itself when the grid drops (Pro), or tap Show runtime on lock screen on the Station screen.
Subscription
What's free and what's Pro?
Free: one station, live readings, output switches and the last 24 hours of history. Pro ($4.99/month or $29.99/year, with a 7-day free trial on the annual plan) adds alerts, the lock-screen runtime and widgets, 90-day history with an outage log and CSV export, and more than one station.
How do I cancel?
iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Outage Monitor. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
How do I restore Pro on a new iPhone?
Settings → Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple ID.
